Worried about O2 duration? There’s an App for that. Don’t spend time manually figuring out if you have enough O2 to last through your next outing. Responsive Respiratory Inc, has created a mobile app and online application that allows you to monitor your O2 and estimate your cylinder duration. It is easy to use and best of all you can forget about remembering oxygen factors and formulas to determine the cylinder duration.
The 02 to GO! Cylinder Duration App
Free for android and iphone users, this app is a great tool for patients and caregivers, as well as therapists and technicians. Put your mind at ease. Just enter a few settings and the Cylinder Duration App calculates the amount of remaining oxygen in hours and minutes. This gives ambulatory users the assurance they need that there’s enough oxygen to be on the go. This is a must have app for home oxygen use, respiratory therapists, medical gas transporters, caregivers and anyone else needing to figure out O2 Duration.
The 02 to Go! Cylinder Duration App enables users to input settings for a precise readout. Simply input:
You can visit the website at http://www.respondo2.com/durationapp/ to see how the app works. The online calculator will give you an idea what to expect. Once you decide to get the app you can go to the App store or Google play. Once you download the free app it is ready to use.
The O2 to Go! App has four tabs on the bottom labeled: home, equipment, Cyl-fil system and contact us. The home tab is the cylinder duration calculator where you input the 4 settings above. The first setting is the O2 device and refers to the regulator type. The second setting is the liter flow. Liter flow options will change based on which O2 device was chosen. The next setting is the cylinder size. You will be given a plenty of options to choose from for an exact reading. The last setting is the remaining oxygen or cylinder % full. The options are 75%, 50% and 25%. This keeps things simple but may require you to round down to the next lower amount. For example if your tank is 2/3 full you may want to choose the 50% amount to err on the safe side. The remaining tabs on the app are for advertising purposes. You may never use them.
